Q: When will you start formal worship?
A: We have...as of September 13, 2015. We worship every Sunday, 10:00 am at Centennial Elementary School in Firestone.
Q: Why are you starting a church in Carbon Valley (Firestone, Frederick, & Dacono)?
A: Our goal is to share Jesus and serve the city and community in which we live. In addition, Carbon Valley is a growing, vibrant, new, community with many who may be looking for a local, home church in which to worship. For more on our history, historical connections and affiliations click HERE.
Q: Do you Baptize babies?
A: Yes, we baptize for member and non member alike. Jesus himself said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:19,20. Baptism washes away sins, forgives and gives us new life as children of God. Want your child baptized? Contact Pastor Tim (firstname.lastname@example.org) and he'd be happy to give you the details.
Q: What do you offer for kids?
A: At CVL we seek to help families grow together and in God's Word. When parents and caregivers are active in their own faith, kids learn from them. In every worship service we include "Children's Lessons" taught by Pastor Tim. These Gospel centered messages are hands on, practical, and taught on a kid's level. In addition, we provide a fully staffed nursery and Sunday School during our worship service. Because we feel families worshipping together is important, once a month is "Family Sunday" where we all worship together.
Q: What do you offer for adults?
A: Once again, we believe the only way to live your faith is to be in God's Word. To accomplish that, we offer in home "Connect Groups." These living room discussions key off of our Sunday Sermon and allow individuals to ask questions, share experiences and strengthen fellow believers. They also provide a great setting to build deeper relationships with other Christians. Connect Groups are constantly forming. You are sure to find one which is convenient to your own schedule. If not, how about offering your home?
Q: Who is your Pastor and what's his story?
A: In short, Pastor Tim Spiegelberg has been a pastor and missionary for 14 years. He grew up in Alaska and Grand Junction. His most recent churches were in North Branch, Michigan, and Toronto, Canada. For more on Pastor Tim and his families' journey to Carbon Valley click HERE.
